I don’t know about anyone else in the group but I really like Paris. I know that Paris has a stereotype of having rude people, but there’s rude people everywhere. There is just something about the city that makes me really enjoy being there. Also, there are a lot of Cypress fans in France. This show was gonna be our first club show out there in a while so everyone was hyped up. We had a day off there, so we basically just chilled until the evening time. We went to a spot, got drinks & had a good time.

Berlin has always been a good city for us and it is a fun city too. Its been a while since we’ve done a show out here so I knew that people were gonna come out. The minute that we pulled into the venue, I immediately recognized it. I’ve played here with both CH & the Beasties. Since there wasn’t too much to do until soundcheck, I just chilled out on the bus. I only left the bus for soundcheck then I came right back until it got closer to showtime.

This festival is one of the big ones here in Europe. There are so many summer festivals out here, its crazy. You can spend the whole summer out here & still not hit all the festivals that are going around. We have been fortunate throughout our career to have played the majority of the Euro festivals & I will say that I really enjoy them. The U.S. is still playing catch up with their festivals even though Coachella is one of the best that we have.

Neuchatel is a small quiet town in Switzerland & I must say that its a very beautiful place. When we got there, it was a little overcast & cold. Our hotel is right on the water so that made it even more cold. Luckily, the venue is walking distance from the hotel. I can actually see it from my room. A few of us went to check out the festival. Some singer named Mika was headlining. I heard his music but let’s just say that I won’t be checking out his show. Its a little too poppy for me. I basically just chilled. I hit up Sen to see if he was down to catch some dinner at the sushi bar down in the lobby. Some of the guys went back to the festival, which was where our bus was parked. I just went back to my room and watched some TV. All of a sudden, I heard this bang like someone had a gun. When I went to my window, I was treated to a fireworks display over the shores of Switzerland. It lasted about a good 12 minutes.

After a good first show, it was off to Prague. Prague is a very beautiful city with lots of statues & cool architecture. Its a shame that we really didn’t have tine to explore the city but if you ever get a chance to go there, go check it out. Sometimes on tour, we just go straight to the gig without having a hotel.

Tonight’s show is at the O2 Arena, which is owned by the same people that own the O2 Arena in London where MJ was going to do his 50-shows at. This place is pretty big. Anyway, after getting some grub in, we just chilled for a bit before the interviews started. Some of the interviews we do together & others we do separately especially when there are a lot of them. Today, I had 4 on my own. I finished them rather quickly then did a quick sound check. We also had a meet & greet but after that, we just waited until it was showtime.

Back again with another edition of “Tales From The Road”. This time around, we are doing a European tour so I’m sure there’s gonna be some fun & funny moments that I’ll have to share. When B & I would write our “Soldier Stories” back in the day, the stories that would stick out to me would be the ones from Europe. I’m not trying to over hype these upcoming stories but I have a feeling that I’m gonna have a lot of fun writing these tales. I hope you enjoy them. With that being said, let me start.

With the Tucson, AZ. show cancelled, it was gonna be a long ride from El Paso to Las Vegas. This is when you take advantage of that good sleep you get in the bunk, or at least that’s how it is for me. I know that Julio G. would agree with me. Everyone was up on the bus for a while having drinks & toking it up. One by one, everyone was going to their bunk. Dougie, my drum tech & co-host of Poor Kids Radio on BReal.TV, & J.J. were just up drinking for the longest amount of time. When I woke up, Dougie was still up talking to our bus driver Bone. Dougie can go hard in the paint. Anyway, we still had some time before we got to Vegas but we had 2 days off so it was all good.
