It’s not safe for 30 year old running backs anymore. It’s hard to find a pair of running backs who have meant more to their teams in the past decade than Brian Westbrook (Eagles) & Ladanian Tomlinson (Chargers) but within 24 hours one was released and the other was granted permission to talk to other teams pending his released come the first of March. Both these backs have had rough times over the past 2-3 years and will probably find homes in the not too distant future, but will forever be linked to their former teams. As an Eagles fan it’s sad to see Westbrook go, but I’m excited about the prospect of, second year back, LeSean McCoy being the feature back this season
